Thank you to everyone who came along to the party. I hope you all enjoyed it. I have pictures of everything that people brought to represent a letter of the alphabet below...
Thanks to all of you for letting me know one way or another that you're likely to come along for a bit tomorrow. The theme I wanted to do was "the alphabet", but since I haven't had 26 "yes" replies yet and I'm late in warning people about it, this won't work quite as I originally intended. However, I still think it would be fun if people could bring along something that represents a different letter of the alphabet in some way. [1] So, I've randomized all your names and assigned them letters of the alphabet in classic [2] order of frequency... [...] .... that leaves VBGKQJXZ, so if you know other people who are coming but who haven't let me know that, they should get in touch soon so I can give them one of the awkward letters as soon as possible. ;) Also, if you want to think about how you'd draw the letter for a stencil pattern, you can use that in the collaborative party T-shirt design. apologies if I've got you down as coming when you can't, I've not quite been keeping track properly. hope to see you all tomorrow.... [1] I was thinking of this in the classic style of "A is for Apple", "S is for SPAM", etc. but interpret it however you like. [2] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ETAOIN_SHRDLU
I'm going to have a small party at my flat on Friday night from 8pm, and it would be great if you could all come along. Please bring along something to drink, your Significant Others and people I obviously meant to invite but forgot or couldn't find the email addresses of when compiling the big address list for this email. My flat is small, though, so please check with me if you want to bring along random people. I hope we can do a piece bit of collaborative party art [1] as well, but you'll only find out about that in advance if you reply to say you're coming :) [...] [1] ... although nothing on the scale of nevermindthepollocks
